The Smithy Hub is a local community group in Thornhill dedicated to supporting both our elderly and young residents through vital social programmes. We provide welcoming sessions that reduce isolation, support mental wellbeing, help children enjoy safe activities, and bring families together.
Most of our clubs are free. We simply ask for small donations to help us stay afloat and continue offering essential services. We are currently raising funds for a proper water connection to the hub. Until now, we have relied on a hose pipe and water butt, but we urgently need to connect to water and sewerage services to improve hygiene, safety and comfort for everyone we serve.
Do you love gardening, helping people, making tea, cooking, crafting, organising activities or simply giving back? We are looking for local volunteers to help with our community garden, clubs and day-to-day hub activities. Whether you are experienced or just starting out, your help can make a big difference.
